    The Gender Equality Plan (GEP) of the Institut Pasteur aims to bridge the gender gap in governance bodies and to develop a corporate culture aimed at fostering diversity, equity and inclusion. This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) integrates a series of specific actions based around six key objectives, following on from the European Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R): Raise awareness of gender equality and unconscious bias; Improve work-life balance and change practices; Improve gender balance in governing roles; Work towards gender equality in recruitment and career progression; Promote and support the inclusion of a gender dimension in research and innovation; Tackle abusive behavior of a sexist and sexual nature. Several activities are integrated in the GEP: creating a good practice guide with recommendations to sensitize selection committees to unbiased recruitment; creation of thematic discussion groups “Employee Resource Group” (ERG); mandatory training sessions on unconscious bias for selection committee members; conferences highlighting the benefits of diversity, equity and inclusion; dissemination of the experience of the ERGs which have already been created at the Institut Pasteur The target proup is women employees at Institut Pasteur Several outputs of this Plan are, namely: Employee Resource Group, indicator of women holding positions in governance bodies; departments that have received the “Gender Equality Friendly” label; with the aim of having more women in positions of responsibility (more than the current value of 38.4%).
