Abstract:
The Slovak National Centre for Human Rights (Centre) as an independent legal entity is a specialised national institution that promotes the observance of the principle of equal treatment and develops activities to combat discrimination. Some surveys and reports on gender equality are carried out by the Slovak National Centre for Human Rights (the Centre), which is the designated equality body; the Institute for Labour and Family Research; the Slovak Academy of Sciences and feminist NGOs. In 2023, the most important publications of the Institute for Labour and Family included: research on flexible forms of work and health and safety, research on childcare from a gender equality perspective. The Centre among other powers: monitors and evaluates the observance of human rights and the observance of the equal treatment principle; conducts research and surveys to provide data in human rights; gathers and distributes information in this area; prepares educational activities and participating in information campaigns aimed at increasing equal leadreship.
