Abstract:
On February 4th (2024), at the Kato Science Corner, a panel discussion titled "Women in the Development of Artificial Intelligence" took place. The event was attended by: Her Magnificence Rector, Prof. Celina M. Olszak, Ph.D., D.Sc., Professor Halina Kwaśnicka, Ph.D., D.Sc. (Wrocław University of Science and Technology), Professor Adrianna Kozierkiewicz, Ph.D., D.Sc. (Wrocław University of Science and Technology), Professor Anna Manowska, Ph.D., D.Sc. (Silesian University of Technology), and Barbara Probierz, Ph.D. (University of Economics in Katowice). The event was part of the Artificial Intelligence Week in the City of Science. Over the course of 7 days, participants had the opportunity to discuss artificial intelligence, which is capable of analyzing data, recognizing patterns, making decisions, and even communicating in a way similar to ours. It is a fascinating field of research that opens the door to countless possibilities. Women’s contributions in AI are not only significant but also far-reaching. Women in AI (WAI) is a global nonprofit do-tank on a mission to increase female representation and participation in AI. Organizing educational events and programs, working with both corporate and startup ecosystems to build an unbiased and fair future.
