    The Polish team at the Olympic Games - Paris 2024 consisted of a majority of women for the first time. Women athletes won 8 out of 10 medals for Poland. Taking the side of women in the fight for equal treatment, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism has prepared an amendment to the Sports Act. According to the Act, women are guaranteed participation in the governing bodies of associations, pregnant women and young mothers will receive appropriate financial support. Monitoring equal opportunities - spokesman and proxies. Key points of the amendment: Balanced gender representation in sports authorities. Polish sports associations are to strive for balanced gender representation in their authorities. In boards of two to five members, there should be at least one representative of each sex. Combating violence and discrimination in sports.
