Abstract:
The authors of the thesis have studied business administration in an entrepreneurial way at the Business Academy in Tornio. This thesis does not have a commissioner, but the topic has been inspired by the students' own interest. The aim of the thesis was to investigate whether perceptions of female leadership have an impact on women's application for and selection to managerial positions. The research was conducted by seeking answers to the following questions: what is the perception of women leaders, what factors in their own personality have influenced them to become women leaders and whether perceptions have an impact on women's career progression. The research was limited to the Lappish perspective on female leadership.
