Abstract:
The digital publication Life of women and men in Europe - a statistical portrait, published in the Slovak Republic by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, focuses on comparing women and men in their everyday lives. This initiative is important for capacity building of women taking leadership roles in decision-making positions. The study shows that while women are still significantly, they are more active on women’s issues than any of their counterparts. Moreover, their activity can be characterized as “positive representation,” as opposed to the usually assumed “negative representation” of women.
