Abstract:
The Bulgarian Association of University Women (BAUW) was founded on May 29, 1924. Its main goals were: bringing together educated women and encouraging them to pursue scientific and public careers, ensuring closer cooperation between them in their professional activities, fighting for professional rights, equal rights for women and men and counteracting social injustice, strengthening the education of young people, caring for young women students. The main target groups of this inititiave are women. Implementation of the Principle of Equal Treatment is important for capacity building of women taking leadership roles.
