Abstract:
Equality between women and men ranks among the fundamental rights, democratic attributes and expressions of social justice in most developed countries of the world, including Slovakia. Equality of women and men is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. The Strategy document on equal opportunities for women and men (“Koncepcia rovnosti príležitostí žien a mužov”) capacity building of women in leadership roles and decision-making positions be on was the basis for action plan and also served as a reference framework for mainstreaming gender in other government strategies.
