Abstract:

The National Strategy is inspired by the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025, approved by the Parliament of the European Union on 21 January 2021, which outlines the key actions to guarantee equal participation and opportunities in the labour market as well as the achievement of gender balance in the decision-making process and policy, with the aim of ending discrimination and gender-based violence. The Italian Strategy is the result of a broad and participatory process that has also involved the regional administrations, the social partners and the main associations and will be the reference for the implementation of the PNRR and for the reform of the Family Act. In the preliminary section of the National Strategy there are information on the current situation, the objectives, the strategic priorities (work, income, skills, time, power), the related interventions to be implemented with specification of the indicators and targets
