Abstract:
The EDP Plan for the Equality of Gender integrates an objetive of arriving to a balanced representation between women and men on the management bodies (minimum of 33.3% women) in force since 2020, under the terms of Law n.º 62/2017 The Plan covers a set of measures framed in the dimensions of equal opportunities, awareness and training, integration of professional and family life, and partnerships for progress, registration of the EDP Group's commitments to ethical conduct, development of skills and merit. The implementation of a Diversity Policy, which reflects the application of the vision, involves EDP's commitments and strategy within the scope of Diversity - implementation of the Selection Policy for the members of the General and Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of Directors, which ensures diversity in the composition of the respective corporate bodies, integrating different skills, professional experiences, diversity of knowledge, gender and cultures, taking into account the specifics of the company's business; Signing of the Adhesion Agreement to the Business Forum for Gender Equality, Dissemination of good management practices in the field of equality between women and men, internally (intranet, internal magazine, internal television, workplace) and externally (website, forums, magazines , news) promoted by the Commission for Equality in Work and Employment The target groups are women and men employees of EDP The main outcomes concerning gender equality in management bodies - Board with 26% of women and 38% in General and Supervisory Board
