Abstract:
The "100 Women of Lithuania" project recognizes and celebrates women who have made significant contributions to Lithuania across political, economic, and social spheres. This initiative was launched by the international platform Women At (W@) in collaboration with the Lithuanian World Community (LWC) and Global Lithuanian Leaders (GLL), with support from organizations like the Women Go Tech mentorship program, the World Lithuanian Youth Union, and the Leader association. The project was initiated as part of the 100th anniversary of Lithuania’s restoration celebration, but its impact extends far beyond this historical milestone. By spotlighting the achievements of Lithuanian women, it aims to inspire and motivate women across the nation to take on key economic and social roles and make bold professional decisions that influence the country's future. The broader goal of the "Women At (W@)" platform is to provide women professionals with greater visibility and opportunities within their respective fields. The platform is dedicated to creating environments where women can leverage their knowledge and skills, connect with peers, and access professional growth opportunities. It focuses on breaking barriers and increasing the participation of women in sectors where they have traditionally been underrepresented. Through its various branches such as W@Tech, W@LawLT, and W@Competition, Women At (W@) brings together women from similar professional backgrounds, allowing them to network, share expertise, and increase their impact. Members not only enjoy the chance to connect with like-minded professionals but also gain valuable opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. The key objectives of Women At (W@) are: Making women professionals more visible based on their skills and achievements. Normalizing women’s presence in the public sphere, particularly in professional and leadership roles. Facilitating networking and knowledge sharing among women professionals to foster career development. The "100 Women of Lithuania" project serves as a powerful testament to the importance of female leadership and participation in the country's progress. By highlighting these accomplished women, the project not only honors their contributions but also encourages future generations of Lithuanian women to aspire to leadership and excellence in all areas of society.
