Abstract:

The Romanian Association of University Women has started a partnership with the National College "Gheorghe Lazăr" in Bucharest, a program that aims to provide emotional support to 12th grade students for the baccalaureate and university entrance exams. This is related, at first, with the social power, because it is a tool to help women accesign to the high education, but important to make changes in the economic and politic powers in the future. They teach about: - managing emotions and stress: emotional preparation for an exam is as important as learning; - keeping calm during the exam: this is a concrete help in concentrating better and getting a better exam score; - effective learning techniques; - good organisation so that they have time for rest and relaxation, not just learning; - how to avoid procrastination and how this habit prevents them from preparing effectively for the exam, etc.
