Abstract:
The Congress of Women Association is a prominent social movement in Poland, operating as a non-governmental organization with a national presence and 35 regional representatives. Its mission is to promote equal rights and opportunities for women and men across political, social, and economic spheres. The Association is dedicated to achieving real gender equality, advocating for the dignity, autonomy, and freedom of all individuals, while fostering women's solidarity through the exchange of experiences, mutual support, and efforts to preserve the memory of women's history. The core goals of the Congress of Women Association include: Promoting gender equality: Advocating for the equal treatment of women and men in all areas of life. Increasing women's participation in political and public life: Encouraging greater involvement of women in decision-making and leadership roles. Empowering women through education and skill development: Assisting women in acquiring the knowledge and qualifications necessary for active participation in societal, political, and public arenas. Improving the overall situation of women: Initiating actions aimed at addressing inequalities and advancing women's rights in Poland. A key initiative of the association is its annual Congress of Women, a large-scale event that attracts between 4,000 to 5,000 participants from Poland and abroad.
