Abstract:
The aim of the practice is to train Executives of companies to gender equality culture, values, issues. namely to leadership positions The company the practice refers to is the Competence Center Holz GmbH , a medium-sized company in a male-dominated field of activity. An external trainer was commissioned to hold these training courses. The careful preparation and communication of the project was important for having it accepted by the employees. It was crucial that the managing director was behind the project and that the initiative came initially from him. The project was carried by the managing director to the management level and then to the other levels of staff. It was gradual: step-by-step attempts were made to raise awareness of the issue - from the upper levels down to the lower levels, and in this way to motivate and attract employees in gender equality areas. From the point of view of the managing director, the well-considered and convinced behavior of the management, combined with the fact that all managers ultimately supported the project, was the central point in the successful implementation of the measure.
