Abstract:
This seminar was intended for women up to the age of 35 active in political parties who want to contribute to improving the status of women and achieving gender equality through their engagement. It is therefore an initiative linked to the promotion of women’s political power in Croatia. The initiative provided participants with informal education that empowers and encourages engagement, and after the seminar, participants were expected to take concrete actions and/or activities in political parties and/or local communities that will contribute to social change. The aim of the seminar was to improve the knowledge and skills of female politicians in the field of gender-aware policy implementation and to empower them to act proactively. Some of the topics dealt with where: Gender equality; Feminism; Women's participation in decision-making positions; Gender policies: gender-based violence, discrimination in the world of work, reproductive rights; Institutional mechanisms and gender-aware equality policy, Communication skills and presentation; Connection, solidarity, and support.
