Abstract:
The Unioncamere and Chambers of Commerce system have been committed for years to promoting women's entrepreneurship as a key component of the production system, and to promoting entrepreneurial culture among women. It is for these purposes that – starting from 1999, when the first Memorandum of understanding was signed between Unioncamere and the Ministry of Economic Development, renewed in 2003 – the establishment of the Committees for Women's Entrepreneurship has been promoted in all Chambers of Commerce throughout Italy. Following the Memorandum, Committees, in which women entrepreneurs involved in promoting women's entrepreneurship are also represented in view of their position within companies, have been increasingly established.
