Abstract:
AIM (Intended activity and outcomes): This programme wants to promote the integration, employment and empowerment of mothers who are without work or with precarious jobs in Spain. This is mostly related to the social power, because they want to empower women to make their own decisions and to be visible in the society. ACTIVITY/APPROACH/COLLABORATION: The methodology is adapted to the needs of the women participating in the project. Through interviews and focus groups guided by professionals specialized in labor insertion, the content and programming of the sessions are designed to adapt to the profiles of the participants. The workshops and activities are given at the educational center where their sons and daughters are enrolled, coinciding with their school hours. In this way they manage to reconcile training with their family life and, at the same time, strengthen their link with the educational community. TARGET GROUP: Mothers who are without work or with precarious jobs in Spain. OUTPUTS/OUTCOMES: Mujeres en Acción is a project of Ayuda en Acción that was born in 2015. In these five years, more than 500 women have participated in Their workshops. This year, they have created 16 groups in nine cities: Madrid, Alicante, Oviedo, Badajoz, Seville, Cornellá (Barcelona), Tarragona, Palma and Zaragoza. Nearly 200 mothers are receiving training for their job placement in the schools and institutes in which they intervene through the Aquí también program. COST: --
