Abstract:
Kering is a global luxury group that supports and promotes the development of some of the most renowned fashion, leather goods and jewelery brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, Qeelin, and Kering Eyewear. In 2015, Kering created the Women in Motion programme aimed at making visible gender inequalities in the arts and culture, and fostering a change in mentality. Over time, the Programme has become a fundamental tool for encouraging a change in mentality and promoting reflection on the importance of the role women play in the arts and culture, as well as in leadership positions. Through its Award system, Women in Motion wants to pay tribute to both inspirational figures, and young female talents. In addition, by means of Talks, it provides a platform of expression for personalities to share their ideas on the representation of women in their professions.
