    In order to implement the objectives and functions that RD 938/2020, of October 27, attributes to the Women, Science and Innovation Observatory, this work program is approved for the period 2020-2021 The priority lines of action for the 2021-2022 period are: 1) Measure to advance: Consolidate a system of data collection, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination disaggregated by sex, as well as gender statistics and indicators in the field of research, development and innovation, which responds to the need for well-informed public policies, and to a transparent system that allows monitoring the situation of women in science, technology and innovation, as well as the gender gaps that still persist in these areas. 2) Stability of the research career and professional development of scientists, technologists and innovative: Advancing the stability of the career of women researchers, integrating the gender perspective in the measures and actions developed in this regard for the entire research staff, and contribute to the career development of scientists, technologists and innovators. Specifically address everything that hinders or prevents the full professional development of women in these fields, thus closing the gender pay gap and increasing the number of women in positions of responsibility. 3) Joint actions for real advances in gender equality in science, technology and innovation: Strengthen the cooperation and participation of all ministerial departments and other institutions and relevant agents in the science, technology and innovation system to promote greater visibility of women in the CTI and to move towards a balanced presence in all areas and levels. 4) Promote structural changes in gender equality wherever R+D+I is carried out: Implement the necessary changes in the organizational culture of R+D+I centers to move towards equality real and effective gender, removing the obstacles that prevent it, and ending the biases of gender that affect those who do science, technology and/or innovation. 5) The gender dimension in science and innovation. Value the gender dimension as a specific area for study and research, as well as a transversal area to be included in projects of R+D+I. It is essential to integrate the gender perspective in projects and contents of science, technology and innovation, and advance in the elimination of gender biases in the content, so that consolidate throughout the R+D+I system as an element that is integrated transversally in the science and innovation. This achievement results in greater excellence, makes R+D+I socially responsible, since it responds to the needs of the whole society.
