Abstract:
The paper is a critical analysis of the national rule that makes compulsory for businesses to have a minimum number of women covering the high positions in the private sector (the so called "quote rosa"). . The study focuses on an important affirmative action recently promoted in our country: Law 120/2011 on equal access to corporate management and control bodies (Golfo-Mosca law). This rule is configured as a real regulatory shock in the panorama of gender representation, capable of rapidly change the structure of the company's decision-making bodies but, at the same time, at the same time, to trigger adaptive and defensive reactions on the part of the actors threatened by change.
