The Women Entrepreneurship Award is an initiative designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding women CEOs, founders, or co-founders of companies, as well as entrepreneurs of any nationality who have launched projects in Portugal. The award focuses on those who are making significant contributions to society through their work and have a visionary outlook for the future. It is organized by the Centre for Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. This award seeks to highlight entrepreneurial women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation, serving as role models for the next generation of female entrepreneurs. The initiative emphasizes the importance of showcasing successful women to inspire others and create a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. The winner of the Women Entrepreneurship Award receives several valuable opportunities to further develop their career and project, including: Access to an Advanced Program of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (or an equivalent course) at the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. Personalized media training, helping the winner to effectively communicate their vision and enhance their public profile. Mentoring from one of the jury members, offering tailored guidance and support. Increased media visibility, providing exposure to a broader audience and potential investors. The award not only acknowledges women’s contributions to the business landscape but also aims to empower and equip female entrepreneurs with the tools, networks, and recognition necessary to accelerate their success and influence. Through this initiative, the Women Entrepreneurship Award contributes to fostering gender equality in leadership roles and encourages more women to pursue entrepreneurial ventures in Portugal.
