Abstract:
In partnership with 6 local organizations for women's rights, the Croatian Women's Network launched this project aimed at project analyzing the implementation of the equality policy gender, that is, the protection of women's rights in 8 local areas of specific areas of women's human rights. The project’s funding is of 30.000,00 Euros. After joint trainings, local organizations prepared analyses on the implementation of gender equality policy at the local level in specific areas such as violence against women, women's participation in politics, economic rights and the position of rural women. It is therefore an initiative linked to the promotion of women’s power (in a political, economic and social dimension). The public debates that organized for the presentation of individual analyses at the local level brought together representatives of local organizations and local authorities and allowed the discussing the best solutions for the protection of women's rights at the local level and their presentation to the general public. At the end of the project, a conference open to a wider public debate was held on the best models for implementing gender equality policies at local level.
