  • Abstract:

WomenBridges, coordinated by the IMPACT DRIVE Foundation under the "momgotajob" initiative and in partnership with Women Do Business (Greece) and Soziale Zukunft (Austria), is a groundbreaking project aimed at promoting women's economic empowerment and work-life balance. Funded with €60,000, the initiative specifically targets youth workers, NGO teams, trainers, and social workers, offering tools and strategies to support girls and women aged 18-30—especially those from vulnerable or disadvantaged backgrounds. The project focuses on key areas such as gender equality, human rights, economic empowerment, and social inclusion. WomenBridges offers a comprehensive methodology that helps young women build career paths toward economic independence, while also enhancing the skills of youth workers to implement these strategies effectively. Through a mix of training, counseling, and mentoring, the program supports women in managing work-life balance, advancing their careers, and securing quality employment opportunities. This human-centered program addresses women at various stages of their professional journeys, whether they are entering or re-entering the workforce, changing careers, starting a business, or advancing to leadership roles—all while maintaining a balance with their personal lives. The initiative is designed to ensure that women can participate fully in public life through sustainable and balanced employment. The expected outcomes of the WomenBridges project include: Knowledge exchange among international partners. Development of a tailored methodology for empowering young women economically. Training of youth workers to apply this methodology effectively. Pilot activities through Local Bridges, involving direct engagement with local communities. Involvement of educational experts and employers to bridge gaps between training and employment. A thorough evaluation of the program to assess its impact. Creation of a manual for program implementation and promotion, ensuring its sustainability and scalability. WomenBridges aims to foster the inclusion of young women in public and economic life through opportunities that not only enhance their professional skills but also allow for personal fulfillment and balance. By targeting both the women themselves and the professionals supporting them, the project sets a strong foundation for achieving long-term gender equality in the workforce.
