Abstract:
The STEM Scholarship for Girls is a program promoted by the Women Empowerment Center at the Cyprus International University (CIU) aimed at encouraging and supporting girls who want to pursue studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), thus promoting women’s social power. The program provides financial support to female students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and a strong interest in pursuing a career in STEM. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses for the duration of the student's studies. In addition to financial support, the Women Empowerment Center at CIU also provides mentorship, career guidance, and networking opportunities for scholarship recipients. The center aims to create a supportive environment for girls pursuing STEM fields, with the goal of increasing the representation of women in STEM and promoting gender equality. The STEM Scholarship for Girls is open to female students from all nationalities who have been admitted to a STEM program at CIU.
