Abstract:
The aim of the plan relates to social empowerment of women, namely, through the promotion of gender equality and balance in its working environment and the improvement of working within the Cyprus Institute, regardless of gender. It is targeted to members of the institute, including its employees, students, and faculty members. The action plan is divided into five main areas: leadership and governance, recruitment and promotion, work-life balance, gender-based violence and harassment, and communication and training. Through this plan, the Cyprus Institute is engaged in an ongoing process of improving its practices concerning gender equality and eliminating any practices that may lead into conditions that relate to inequality between genders within its community. This initiative is still ongoing.
