Abstract:
Weibernetz is a network of women with disabilities in Germany that aims to empower women with disabilities and promote their participation in all areas of life. The organization offers training, workshops, and advocacy services to promote political, social, and economic power of women with disabilities (such as women with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, intellectual disabilities, and mental health conditions), aiming to promote their participation in all areas of life, including education, employment, health, and social participation. Weibernetz offers a range of services to its members, including advocacy, networking opportunities, and training. The organization provides a platform for women with disabilities to share their experiences and connect with other women with disabilities. Weibernetz also offers training and workshops to develop the skills and capacities of its members, such as leadership and self-advocacy skills. It has also been involved in advocacy efforts to promote the inclusion of women with disabilities in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda. Weibernetz is funded through membership fees, donations, and grants from foundations and public institutions.
