  • Abstract:

The IKAR - Women's Active Development Incubator is an initiative aimed at increasing women’s knowledge, awareness, and leadership skills by fostering civic engagement and political involvement. The project is designed to empower women to take on leadership roles, particularly in local communities and high-level management boards, while promoting gender equality in decision-making processes. Key Objectives: Enhance women’s knowledge and awareness on civic issues, leadership, and equality. Shape civic attitudes and encourage active political involvement for the benefit of local communities. Increase women's participation in high-level management and decision-making roles in both the public and private sectors. Strengthen the role of women in local and regional political representation. The IKAR project operates through four main pillars: Research on Women’s Awareness and Needs: The project conducts research to understand the attitudes, awareness, and social needs of women. This research forms the foundation for developing targeted strategies to support women's participation in leadership and political activities. Women's Mentoring Study: This pillar focuses on coaching, mentoring, and practical training for women. Through mentoring programs, women gain valuable insights and skills in leadership, management, and community activism, helping them to confidently pursue positions of influence. Podlasie Women’s Book - Dissemination of HerStory: This initiative highlights and shares the stories of influential women from the Podlasie region. By documenting and promoting these women's contributions, the project aims to inspire future generations of women to engage in leadership and politics. Women's Networking Network: A key component of the IKAR project is the creation of a women’s networking space, which is designed to strengthen women's positions in local and regional politics. This network provides a platform for women to collaborate, share experiences, and support each other in advancing gender equality in political representation. The IKAR project is committed to fostering gender equality in leadership and ensuring that women are represented at all levels of decision-making, both locally and regionally. Through research, mentoring, storytelling, and networking, IKAR equips women with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to become effective leaders and active participants in their communities.
