Abstract:
The Law No. 62/2017, determines that the proportion of people of each sex designated for each body of administration and inspection: • It cannot be less than 33.3% in each entity of the public business sector covered, from January 1, 2018. If the administration bodies are part of administrators, Executives and non -executives, the threshold must be fulfilled in relation to both. • It cannot be less than 20% in each company quoted on the stock exchange, from the first assembly elected after January 1, 2018. The threshold must be fulfilled in all of the administrators, executives and non -executives, who are part of the administration. • It cannot be less than 33.3% in each company quoted on the stock exchange, from the first assembly elected after January 1, 2020. The threshold must be fulfilled in all of the administrators, executives and non -executives, who are part of the administration. This Law attributes to the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) the competence to monitor its implementation, as well as to draw up an annual report on its implementation, to be delivered to the member of the Government responsible for this domain
