Abstract:
The Inspiring Girls initiative is focused on increasing girls' career ambition as well as their job prospects, especially in less feminized sectors such as STEM. The aim is to put school-age girls in contact with professional women from all sectors, who serve as an example and reference, helping them to make visible the wide variety of professions and jobs that exist without gender being any limitation. These volunteers share their experience with the girls, inspiring them and transmitting values such as effort and perseverance, so that they aim high and can be whatever they want to be. One of the programmes develloped is the one directed to girls between the ages of 14 and 19 and pretend to improve the bases and competence development of young women to become leaders. The sessions of the programme include: Emotional intelligence; Leadership and Communication; Financial Independence; New Technologies; Environment and Sustainability; "You are remarkable” session. This initiative, created in 2017, has evolved more that 2.000 schools, 38.000 young girls students and more than 7.000 women volunteers.
