Abstract:
Start it supports @KBC women entrepreneurs with ambitions by offering more than just free webinars by and for female founders: that's how The Thrive Project was born! Through individual guidance, this program aims to remove barriers that still stand in the way of the creation, growth and scaling up of womens companies. This project focuses on starting, growing or leading women in tech within the business world and the academic sector. This means that both innovative entrepreneurs and researchers are envisaged. The selection criteria are the following: female (co-)founder, own shares of a company or researcher involved in an innovative growth company; registered office is in Flanders; meet one of these two conditions: to be ready to take the next step in a leadership journey as a female founder; to have more than € 100,000 turnover per year or to have raised more than € 100,000 in capital (subsidies, win-win loan, credit, venture capital, business angels, ...) Even if the women has less than € 100,000 in turnover or capital, she can still sign up for the program. The selection committee will review and evaluate all files separately. The organisation goal is to make the women feel fully empowered at the end of the program, embracing a new skillset to grow their business. The organisation does this based of individual guidance. Throughout the year the women can continue to register for the Women in Tech | The Thrive Project webinars, which provide them with numerous additional insights. Based on personal guidance, women are accelerated as entrepreneurs. In concrete terms, The Thrive Project facilitates an individual coaching relationship with role models, experts and mentors. They help women on their way to growing their business. During this guidance, there is a specific focus on 'balanced leadership'. So that they can build a successful career according to their own, authentic (pre)values. In other words, this is not a group trajectory, but a tailor-made trajectory with a timeline. In addition, Start it @KBC ensures that the participants get to know each other better in order to exchange best practices, accelerate knowledge sharing and so on.
