Abstract:
The aim of this initiative is to train, advise and accompany in the incorporation of the gender perspective in local policies, both technical and political personnel in charge of municipal management. They offer the space for training and accompaniment on equality for technical and political personnel in charge of municipal management, along with the preparation of a "Guide to good practices" that brings knowledge and experiences in the transversal incorporation of the gender perspective in local public policies. So, the target group of this initiative are technical and political personnel in charge of municipal management. In summary, it is a initiative with activities to train politicians and technicians of town halls, councils, groups of municipalities, councils and island councils with a population of less than 100,000 inhabitants aimed, on the one hand, at implementing reconciliation and co-responsibility measures and, on the other, at developing employment plans with a gender perspective at the municipal level to promote the participation of women in the political power.
