Abstract:
The mission of Women in Finance is twofold: raising awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and promoting gender balance at all levels within the financial sector. This mission is achieved by accelerating gender balance, aiding member companies in fostering a more inclusive culture, and contributing to greater equity within the sector. To support this mission, Wo.men in Finance undertakes various positive actions such as encouraging equal opportunities for men and women, promoting inclusive leadership, and fostering a credible, innovative, and respectful environment for attracting, retaining, and training female talent. Vision- Culture and Inclusion: Wo.men in Finance aims to create and implement a culture of inclusion where gender diversity is a priority on the Board of Directors' agenda. Furthermore, gender diversity should be integrated into the strategic vision of every financial institution that is a member of Wo.men in Finance. Recruitment and Promotion: Wo.men in Finance is dedicated to building a strong pool of female talent to enhance the representation of women in executive positions. Networking and Social Capital:Wo.men in Finance offers opportunities for women by organizing social networking events, training programs, and other initiatives to enhance their social capital and professional growth. Values : Honesty and Openness to All Wo.men in Finance is inclusive of every individual in the labor market, regardless of gender, origin, culture, color, or ethnicity. Inclusive Leadership Wo.men in Finance values all employees for their skills and talents, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and valued within the company. Initiatives : Wo.men in Finance, in collaboration with Febelfin, has developed a comprehensive toolbox focused on inclusion. This toolbox is a practical resource for building action plans and contains 25 tools, including training sessions, checklists, exercises, self-assessments, and games. These tools aim to reduce the impact of unconscious bias, tackle micro-aggressions, foster a more inclusive company culture, and develop inclusive leadership.
