Abstract:
Inequalities between men and women remain an obstacle to social progress as well as a major brake on economic growth. As one of the world's top 25 companies for gender equality, Sanofi is committed to achieving gender balance, and it has adopted an ambitious plan to ensure equal representation of women and men in senior management by 2025. Sanofi has established a gender parity council whose members support regional networks around the world, sponsor initiatives to promote gender parity within the company and show the way forward; wherever Sanofi operates, the objetive is to have a positive social and economic impact on local communities; that's why, to foster gender parity in company supply chain, there is an objetive to doubling the spending on women-founded or women-led businesses by 2025. To achieve this, Sanofi has partnered with WEConnect International to strengthen the collaboration and engagement, and to support women's economic empowerment. The target groups is Women employees of the company The main outputs are: Gender equality index; Council for Gender Parity The Sanofi project outcomes are a balance between men and women among its senior executives, transforming the culture, development, recruitment and succession planning so that women make up 40% of executives and hold 50% of senior leadership positions by 2025.
